Weekly Dispatches 23 May

G'day all.  A relatively small show and tell this week but that is not indicative of the amount of work that is being done.  there are loads of requests underway at the moment.

Just a reminder that the next sewing day at my home is this coming Wednesday.  If you need the address let me know.  Same as always, BYO lunch and machine.

We do have some lovely quilts and laundry bags to show tonight though so sit back and enjoy them.

433 quilts and 549 laundry bags for 2014.

2788 quilts and 4380 laundry bags in total.

These two quilt tops were made by Lynn after I appliqued the letters.  Robyn and Evelyn then quilted ad bound them.

Del embroidered the skippy badge in the one above and Cath embroidered the skippy badge in the one below.

Melissa took some BOMs and completed this quilt.

Cath has been busy embroidering, making the badge for this quilt that she pieced as well.

Maree created this awesome engineers quilt around the embroidered badge that was made by Maureen.  All the symbols on here have meanings which Engineers will recognise.

Michelle W  sent this quilt top and Stephanie T quilted it.

YAY!   The Old Bags and the Dags are back with two awesome quilts and haven't we missed them!   I am reliably informed that Harold has been having a great time with the goodies some of you sent him so thank you very much!

Rita made her first ever laundry bag!

This is what Rita C  does when she comes to a sewing day.  I tell her what I need, in this case a red, white and blue quilt top and she whips up a quilt top in a day!  This time she even took it home to quilt it.  Thanks Rita.

How cute are these guitars?  Would you believe that Sue drew them on by hand!!!
How cool do they look!!!

Well that is all for this week.  I hope you have something nice planned for this weekend.   Fingers crossed the weather will be nice on Sunday so my husband can go gliding as I am planning some serious sewing!

Till next time........keep spreading the word and happy stitching!
