Weekly Dispatches 7 March

Well, I am back in ole Sydney town, very glad to be back online properly!
Here are the quilts and laundry bags of this week!
Enjoy!

140 quilts and 204 laundry bags for 2014.

2502 quilts and 3931 laundry bags in total.

At last we have reached a milestone that I have been waiting none to patiently for!

2500 quilts!

Woo Hoo!!!  Well done every one!

Bev made this gorgeous scrap quilt and it was quilted by Geoff.

note the little yachts all over it!  LOL

And of course our wonderful Mystery Quilt, blocks from all over Australia, top pieced by Lynn and quilted by Belinda.

I created the appliques for this quilt included the spartan helmet in the middle which is actually the badge for the Holdsworthy bases Blackhawk Helicopter Squadron.  Lynn took them and pieced them into a top and Belinda quilted and bound the quilt.  The photo doesn't show it but there are actually helicopters hidden in the quilting.

Mary made the chevron quilt and

of course you have to have a matching Chevron laundry bag!

Pennie created this chevron quilt

with a fabulous nautical backing

and a laundry bag with a themed front

And a personalised back (or maybe this is the front!)

Rachel completed a stack of cool laundry bags

Rita M whipped up this baker' delight

complete with cupcake backing!
